I had the pleasure of working with Jim at AMCORE from 2002 - 2008, and honestly, every memory of Jim is a great one. He would always let me vent about my Illini sports teams, and more importantly, we would both vent about the Cubs. More important to that, he was not only a great coworker, but a great person. Did not matter whom the person was at the bank or how "important" that person might have been- Jim had the respect of everyone. Pure class, and I have said it to anyone that will listen to me- he was the best commercial banker I have ever worked with. I am just so sorry for your loss, and while there is comfort with your friends and family in the Oregon area, please rest assured in knowing that there are many of us in the Rockford area that are thinking about all of you and willing to help in whatever way we can. God bless.

My dear Jill - you, your girls and your whole family are in my thoughts and prayers today and in the days/weeks ahead. My heart is breaking at the loss of Jim. A friend of mine wrote a song several years ago and it says "If you knew where I was standing, you would not cry for me."

I am so sorry to read of your family loss of Jimmy. The Corcoran family has also been a special part of my life as you were neighbors and friends for most of my life as we grew up just next door - actually just a driveway apart. So many great memories Betty. Tom, Jean, Jan, and Jimmy are my neighborhood memories on 7th Street Oregon, Illinois!
