Mr. Bonnen was incredibly kind and supportive during one of the hardest seasons of my life. He was an inspiration to me and I will never forget him. He was truly an exceptional educator and administrator. Im sorry I will miss his servislces. Omar accept my sincere condolences.

So Sorry to hear such sad news. Lived at the bottom of Jackson Hill, when i was young,and spent many of winter days sledding in his backyard, near the top of Jackson Hill. I remember how kind he was, as i was in his office, almost as much as he was in elementary school....LOL :) He was always a positive person, in my life and inspired me, as i went on to high school. Have often wondered about him and his daughter, whom babysat me, in my younger days. Such a Wonderful person, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family !!! Mr. Bonnen was a great educator and influenced the young lives of many Oregon students. I was a scared 3rd grader when I first came to Jefferson School in 1966. He helped to make that adjustment to a new environment with patience, kindness and understanding. Oregon School District was fortunate to have him be part of the system for so many years and in turn part of our memories we reflect on even today of our childhood.

Mr. Bonnen was great inside the school and out. Back in the late 70's a few years after I graduated from HS, my car broke down on river road close to the race track. He was coming back from Rockford, he recognized me and stopped and gave me a ride home. I believe I sent a thank you note. No cell phone back in those days. I was very appreciative I didn't have to walk all the way back to Oregon. He was just a great man
I offer my thoughts and prayers to the family, I have fond memories of Mr. Bonnen as he was my Middle School principle. I distinctly remember interviewing him for a class project about his service during the war.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Uncle Bob was a special guy, and will certainly be missed, but never forgotten. We pray for comfort and peace in the days to come.

I never knew Robert (Bob) when i was younger, but when i moved back to Oregon in year 2000 i became his neighbor and for the better part of 20 years we became what i would consider very good friends. And in that time I never heard Bob say one negative word. I will miss him, as i am sure you all will. I am very proud and grateful for those years. You don't find many like him, as he would say, he's a keeper!.
Mr Bonnen was a great influence on many people's lives and was always a pleasure speaking to in the hallways at school. He listened to parents concerns as well as the students and forged a positive image on all. He will surely be missed. Sending up prayers of comfort during this difficult time.
