Al & Teri - where to start!  Al, your family has been in my memories from the earliest days I can recall.  Both in the neighborhood, at St Paul's Lutheran and on those special occasions when I'd follow my brother Dave to your house or Hen's.  Your mother was always kind, caring and had the best cookies!!  When I was having kids of my own, she was encouraging and always made them feel special.  Oregon was blessed by her presence and you by having her as a mother.  Hope to see you soon.  Until then, know that you are in my prayers.  Love you both,  Catherine

I remember Dorothy as such a kind and caring person and a wonderful neighbor as I was growing up.  Fond memories!  May she Rest In Peace.  My love and hugs to all of he family!

Linda and Allan and families:  It is always so hard when we lose our parents, yet we rejoice when there suffering and not being able to be independent inhibits them.  May you be comforted by all the memories that you have of your mother and hold them close.  It doesn't matter how long they have passed you will still want to pick up the phone and call or get in the car and go visit them only to stop yourself and say they are gone.  I often visit my family at their grave sight and offer up prayers and talk to them.  I find it gives me comfort.  You are all in my prayers

Your mother was such a wonderful person and a very good artist too. I knew her in the 1970's when I first joined Eagle's Nest Art Group. Dorothy was president of the group then. She was always very cheery, welcoming and encouraging.  She and Jake were great people...the kind of people that make Oregon such a nice place to live.  We share your sorrow but are grateful to have known Dorothy. May God bless your family during this time of loss.
