BYRON – Amos Wyman Blanchard, 86, of Byron, died Wed., Sept. 3, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Cherry Valley, IL surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 7, 1927 in rural Byron the son of Amos D. and Goldie (Wadsworth) Blanchard. Married to Pauline C. Becker on February 28, 1948 in German Valley. He worked for 41 years at Kable Printing in Mt. Morris, he also had a home delivery milk route in Byron and Leaf River. Amos liked to make model airplanes and sell them. He also like to golf, fish, and was an avid hunter. He like to sharp shoot at the Mt. Morris Gun Club. Survivors include daughters: Betty Haenitsch of Cherry Valley, Barbara Albano of Mt. Morris, Beverly (Stanley) Krason of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and June (Donald) Violet of Shirland, grandchildren: Erich Haenitsch, Michael Albano, Stanley Krason III and Amber Violet; and great grandchildren: Faith, Cameron, Shelbie, Destinie, Alexander, and Sean. Predeceased by his parents, wife Pauline, and brother George. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Byron with the Rev. Gary Cortese of Global Harvest Church of Byron officiating. Burial in Byron Cemetery. No visitation. Memorials may be made to the Rock River Senior Center in Oregon, IL.
