Anne Natalie Lammers, age 92, of Lost Lake, passed away at her home. She was born to Antonio and Marie (Tapperi) Costa on December 24, 1921 near Barbania in the Piedmont region of Italy. Anne was the best nurse at Shady Side Hospital in Pittsburg where she worked as a supervisor for the Post Partum (Maternity) Ward. She is a US Army Veteran having served her country during World War II as an Army nurse stationed in Okinawa. She married Gerard Lammers on October 10, 1950. Soon after marrying, the couple moved to Wheatridge, CO. Anne and Gerard moved a few times during their life together before finally retiring in Lost Lake, near Dixon in 1997. While living in the area they attended Lighthouse United Methodist Church in Oregon. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Joan and Josephine. Anne is survived by her loving husband, Gerard Lammers of Lost Lake; children, Cynthia (David Mark) Smith of Pendleton, Oregon, Bryan (Debi) Lammers of Peoria Heights, IL and Valerie (David) Clark of Marshalltown, IA; brother, Michael Costa of Cole Center, PA; grandchildren, Nicole (Robert) Reifman, Matthew Lammers, Natalie Clark, and Elizabeth Clark; and great grandchildren, Betty and Willa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at the Lighthouse United Methodist Church in Oregon, IL with the Pastor Javier Martinez officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will be in Lighthouse Cemetery.
