Margaret Jane Reichenbach, 91, longtime resident of Oregon, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Swedish-American Hospital, Rockford. Born November 4, 1924 in Ashton, the daughter of Daniel Lee and Genevieve (Sweeney) Shottenkirk. She was a graduate of Rochelle High School and married Francis “Rick” Reichenbach November 12, 1947 in Oregon; he died July 29, 1996. Margaret was a member of Oregon United Methodist Church, the Naomi Ruth Circle, Oregon Women’s Club, The Red Hat Society, several bridge clubs and The Infamous Birthday Club. She took great delight in the company of many dear friends, sharing countless lunches and adventures. She was both dignified and lots of fun. Survived by her daughter, Kim Reichenbach and niece, Mary Jacobson. Predeceased by her parents, husband Rick, son Charles, sister June Jacobson, brothers Willard and Wayne Shottenkirk and nephew David Jacobson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday April 14 in Oregon United Methodist Church preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00am; Pastor Barbara Good will officiate. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Oregon. Memorials may be made to Oregon United Methodist Church or directed to the family
