 Stephen J. Gecan, 94, lifelong Oregon resident, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in his home. Born December 26, 1923 in Oregon, the son of Frank and Antonia (Dellach) Gecan. Married to Marilyn Feddeler in 1954 in Oregon. Steve was a graduate of Oregon High School and a World War II Army veteran serving with  the 4th Cavalry in the D-Day landing at Utah Beach. Employed at Wood Bros. Manufacturing in Oregon 25 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Oregon and a life member of Oregon VFW Post 8739 and Knights of Columbus Council 1092. Survived by his wife, Marilyn Gecan of Oregon; son, Frank (Michelle) Gecan of Oregon; grandson, Brandon (Adrianne) Gecan of Oregon; and great grandchildren, Kennidy and Keira. Predeceased by his parents; sons, Victor and Christopher; daughter, Paula Jillson; brother, Edward; and sister, Kay Butler. Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am Saturday June 23 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon with Rev. Joseph Naill as celebrant. Burial with Military Honors in St. Mary Cemetery, Oregon. Visitation 9:00 - 10:00am Saturday in  Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon.
