Arthur "A..J." Zacharias

Arthur “A.J.” Zacharias, age 32, passed away on July 22, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born on September 12, 1989 to William and Frankie Zacharias. He married Kristin Dolieslager on October 31, 2020. A.J. loved his kids and being a dad. He was a family man through and through who loved family get together and cookouts. He adored his nieces and nephews. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed gaming on his Xbox. A.J. also enjoyed spending time outside especially in the evenings where he could be found sitting by the fire listening to music. He grew up in the Brethren Church and it was a big part of his life; he also liked playing sports growing up. He graduated from Dixon High School Class of 2007. A.J. was well known on TikTok for Pokémon. He is survived and missed by his loving wife Kristin Zacharias; his children, Hayden, Noah, Ivy, Lilly, Sage, Sebastian, and Anastasia; parents, William (JoCinda) Zacharias, Frankie Zacharias, and Lynn Wakeley; brothers, Michael (Nicole) Wakeley, Jeff Zacharias, Evan (Nadia) Hackbarth, Blake (Kelsey) Zacharias, and James Zacharias; sisters, Ashley (Chuck) Zacharias and Cyndi (Eric) Zacharias; 3 step sisters, Aunt and Uncle Mary and Tim Vock; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Linda Holmes, Arthur and Lu Zacharias, and Gerald and Doreen Wakeley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7th Street, Oregon, IL 61061. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials are established in his name.
