Bernadine T. Mack

Oregon, IL – Bernadine T. Mack, age 83, died peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025 at her home. She was born October 25, 1941 the daughter of Frank and Bernadine (Lentowski) Johnsen. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Bernadine was married to the late Ernest L. Mack for 50 years. She worked for many years at Chicago Lock Company. After they retired, they moved from Chicago to Oregon, Il. She often volunteered her time at the Life-Line Food Pantry and the Oregon Church of God. She was known to be a hard worker and was able to fix most broken items. She was a collector and repairer of Cuckoo clocks. She liked to sew and shoot her guns. Bernadine was preceded by her parents Frank and Bernadine Johnsen, her husband Ernest, her daughter Catherine Sobecki, 1 sister, and 3 brothers. She is survived by her children Bernadine Novoa of Oregon, IL and Daniel (Tracy McGowan) Carrao of Rockford, IL, her grandchildren, Theresa, Anthony, Cody, Heather, Victoria, Jessica, Daniel, Sean, and Skylar; many great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren. No services are planned at this time.
