Betty Jones

Peoria, IL – Betty L. Jones, age 84, died Monday, May 3, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 3, 1936 in Henderson, TN the daughter of Leonard and Benny “Vesty” (Hensley) Hopper.  She attended Chester County High School.  Betty married Ralph Jones on July 24, 1959 in Peoria, IL.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2013.  She enjoyed cooking, Quilting, crocheting, singing, and sitting on the deck watching the birds.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and siblings; Ward, Jean, Ruby, Robert, Patsy, Gayle, Fay, and Ray.  She is survived by her 3 children; Ralph Jones, Jr. of Pekin, IL, Linda (Mike) Sartin of Oregon, IL, and Roger (Fredda) Jones of Washington, IL, sister Shirley of Tennessee, and 7 grandchildren; Brandi, Colton, Wyatt, Mariah, Skylar, Pierce, and Danielle.  A private graveside service will be held in Peoria, IL.
