Charles "Chuck" Young

Charles L. “Chuck” Young, age 81, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was born on December 5, 1940 in Clinton, Indiana the son of Robert and Ella Jean (Farner) Young. Chuck worked for many years as a truck driver in the Chicago area. He married Christa Burkhardt on February 2, 1961 and they spent 61 wonderful years together. He took great pride in keeping his lawn mowed well and taking care of his garden. In his spare time; he enjoyed tinkering with cars, fishing, and riding his Harley. But, the most important thing in Chuck’s life was his family and he was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Donnie and Caroline. He is survived and missed by his wife, Christa of Oregon; children, Robert (Kathleen) Young of Harvard, Katharina (Allan Knudsen) Sarallo of Oakbrook Terrace, Christina (Andy) Petrancosta of Villa Park, and Jason (Nicole) Young of Elmhurst; grandchildren, Samantha (Zach) Lincoln, Michael (Wendy) Young, Cheyanne Young, Richard Sarallo, Jenna (Nicholas) Carlson, Alexa Sarallo, Amanda (Jon) Sharp, Nicholas Petrancosta, Dominick Petrancosta, Joseph (Sarah) Petrancosta, Jacob Young and Matthew Young; great grandchildren, Christopher, Rylee, Aryanna, Leo, Aubrey, Niko, Mason, Allison, Lulu, and Nathan; and siblings, Martha, Steven, and Phyllis. Per his request no services are being held at this time.
