Denise Hamer

Denise Anne Hamer, age 52, passed away after a sudden illness on December 30, 2020. She was born on September 23, 1968 in Aurora the daughter of John and Joanne Hamer. After graduating high school, Denise went on to attain two Master’s degrees. She taught many years at Sherlock Elementary School and Morton College. She loved music, children, and had a fantastic singing voice. Denise loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Creed Hamer of Woodridge; sister, Paula Hamer Kastning of Byron; nephew, Clark Hamer Aliprandini of Byron; niece, Anna (Paul) Martin of Winnebago; and 5 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Joanne Hamer. Due to Covid-19 restrictions private celebration of life mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be directed to her son Creed at P.O. Box 930, Byron, IL 61010 to help with the unforeseen expenses.
