Elaine Dyal

Elaine Dyal, age 86, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. She was born in Sycamore on November 22,1936 the daughter of Glen and Mildred “Ferris” Fell. She married Thomas Dyal on February 24, 1956 in Monroe Center. Elaine worked for many years as a cna at Neighbors nursing home. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Her and Tom spent many wonderful years in the Stillman area before retiring to Missouri in the 1990’s. She returned to the area in May of 2021. Elaine enjoyed being outside in nature and animals; especially horses, cats, and dogs. She loved cooking a big meal for her family especially Thanksgiving dinner which was her favorite holiday. She liked to can different things but was known for making the best jelly ever. In her spare time; she also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and sharing the things she made with her family. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She was a mama bear and would always be in your corner. Win or lose she was her kid’s biggest fan. She is survived and missed by her children, Tim (Vickie) Dyal of Stillman Valley, Russell Dyal of Falcon, MO, and Libby (Charlie) Druien of Stillman Valley; sister, Brenda (Andy) Anderson of Chetek, WI; grandchildren, Maggie (John) Gackstetter and Josh Dyal; great grandson, James Gackstetter; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, daughter, Lora Elaine Dyal, and granddaughter Kala Jean Dyal. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd, Stillman Valley, IL 61061. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are established for Serenity Hospice and Home.
