Stillman Valley, IL – Elizabeth A. Tonjes, age 36, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 31, 2020. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Elizabeth was born December 19, 1983 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of David and Kathy (Leibbrandt) Hult. She graduated high school from Gothenburg, NE in 2002 and obtained her degree in Family Science from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2006. Elizabeth married Eric Tonjes on May 25, 2007 at Grace Chapel in Lincoln, NE. She was currently a member of the Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church near Stillman Valley, IL. Elizabeth loved people well. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and God's Word. She was known for her hospitality, creativity, sense of humor, and her gentle and kind spirit. She is survived by her loving husband Eric Tonjes, her 3 children; Rebekah age 9, Canaan age 8, and Silas age 5, all of Stillman Valley, IL, her parents David and Kathy Hult of Lincoln, NE, her brother Daniel Hult of Dayton, Ohio, Sister Emily Hammond and nieces Kadence and Everly Hammond of Lincoln, NE, maternal grandmother Lois Leibbrandt of Imperial, NE, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant sister Rebekah Hult, maternal grandfather Martin Leibbrandt, paternal grandparents Don and Marilyn Hult, uncles, Charlie Leibbrandt and Don Munter, and aunt, Colleen Olof. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020 at the Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 8195 Kishwaukee Road, Stillman Valley, IL from 6-8 pm. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask to attend. There will also be a visitation on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Grace Chapel in Lincoln, NE from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be live streamed beginning at 10:45 AM with a memorial slide show followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 7, 2020. Visit the Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church Facebook page to get information of the funeral service for Elizabeth. Burial will take place at the Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, NE.
