Frank J. Reeverts

Machesney Park, IL ~ Frank J. Reeverts, age 86, formerly of Byron, IL, passed away peacefully at the Lincolnshire Place of Loves Park, IL on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1938 in Princeton, IL. He was the son of John D. & Lucille M. (Thomas) Reeverts. In 1956 he graduated from Byron High School. Shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Army and served his country from October 9, 1959 until October 11, 1962. Two years after his separation from the Army he married the love of his life Karen Nutt on May 15, 1964 and spent the next 51 building a life together in Byron, IL before her passing in 2015. Frank spent 41 years working for J. L. Clark in Rockford, IL as a Maintenance Mechanic before his retirement in 2000. Throughout his life Frank enjoyed many simple things, like taking care of his house and being outdoors to watch nature. One of his largest passions was watching sports. He faithfully attended Byron High School football games throughout his life.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Karen. He is survived and missed dearly by his children Brad (Angie) Reeverts of Yorkville, IL, Gary (Connie) Reeverts of Machesney Park, IL; and grandchildren Emma and Cecilia of Machesney Park, IL. 

Frank will be laid to rest with his wife at Byron Township Cemetery following a private family graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Village of Progress of Oregon, IL.
