Gregory "Greg" E. Ebens

CHANA ~ Gregory “Greg” E. Ebens, 64, lifetime area resident, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.  Born June 30, 1959 in Dixon, IL the son of Donald E. and Leatha A. (Huffman) Ebens. Greg graduated Oregon High school in 1977 before moving to college where he gained an Associates Degree in the Agriculture field.  After college he worked with his father, farming the family farm. He also spent some time working at HA International in Oregon.  Greg was a devoted father to his son Michael.  The two would always be caught fishing and traveling together.  Greg loved life with his friends and family, always making sure to spend time with his buddies and his mother.  Greg will be missed dearly, and will always hold a special place in the hearts of the lives he touched.  He is preceded in death by his father Don, son Michael, grandparents Glenn & Verda Huffman and John & Mildred Ebens, his uncle John Ebens, and one of his best friends Robert Smith (Smitty).  Greg is survived and missed by his loving mother Leatha of Oregon; brother Jeff (Starla) Ebens of Waukesha, WI; his dog Shelby of Chana; and many Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and dear Friends.  At this time no services are scheduled, however, a Celebration of Life in his honor will be held at a later date.  Memorials are established in his name and may be directed to the family.
