Harold Newhausen

Harold E. Newhausen, 88, of Sullivan, MO formally of Byron; passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan on Saturday August 8, 2020. Harold was born in Amboy, Illinois on December 28, 1931 to the late Francis and Mary (Aurand) Newhausen. Harold Graduated from Stillman High School. He later married the love of his life Anna Mae Hoting on August 17, 1951 in Byron. To this union three children were born: Larry, Barbara, and Richard. Harold was employed at Ingersoll Milling Machine Co. for many years, until his retirement. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, and a game of gold from time to time. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Harold is survived by two of his children, Barbara (Tom) Gobin of Sullivan, MO and Larry (Jody) Newhausen of Oregon, IL; six grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, three sisters, Betty (Winefred) Barnes of Rockford, Lois (David) Miller of Byron, and Patricia (Eric) Davis of Byron. He is preceded in death by his wife, one son Richard, and two brothers, Earl and Merle Newhausen. Cremation arrangements have taken place. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at Byron Cemetery at 10:00 AM on August 22, 2020.
