Helen B. Schell

Helen B. Schell, 79, longtime Oregon resident, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. Born June 3, 1941 in Anderson, MO, the daughter of Carroll and Helen Chaplin. Married to Charles Schell January 18, 1958 in Belvidere. Helen enjoyed sewing, yard work and gardening. Survived by her husband Charles Schell of Oregon; daughters, Debbie Scoles of Freeport, Jackie (Brad) Hollandsworth of Rockford and Mary Dwyer of Leaf River; grandchildren: Christopher McCanse, Holly (Mike) Banghart, Charles McCanse, Brittany Hollandsworth, Jennifer (Travis) Hall, Lukas (Meg) Dwyer, Derek (Jennifer) Dwyer, Cecil Revels and Ashley Schell; and 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: her parents; son, Mike Schell; son-in-law, David Dwyer; 3 brothers; and a sister. A walk through visitation will be held 4:00 – 6:00 pm Wednesday, February 3 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon. Guidelines of social distancing and wearing facemasks will be practiced. Private burial will be in Daysville Cemetery, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
