Ione L. Wells

Ione L. Wells, 63, of Mt. Morris and formerly of Rushville, died Sunday, October 31, 2021 in Pinecrest Manor, Mt. Morris. Born December 5, 1957 in Beardstown, IL, the daughter of William W. and Lena Ellouise (McDaniel) Wells. Ione grew up on the family farm in Rushville and was a 1975 graduate of Rushville High School. She also attended the Oregon (IL) Bible College and was a member of Ripley Church of God and Oregon Church of God.  Ione was employed in childcare in Springfield and as an office employee of the Illinois Dept. of Transportation. She enjoyed horses and reading. She is survived by her brother, Aaron Wells of Mt. Morris. Predeceased by her parents. Services will be held at 10:30am Friday, November 5 in Oregon Church of God preceded by a visitation beginning at 9:30am. Services will also be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 6 in Ripley Church of God with a visitation beginning at 10:00am. Pastor Michael Hoffman and Pastor Nathan Massie of Oregon Church of God will officiate at both services. Burial (Saturday) in Rushville Cemetery.
