Jack Heather

Byron, IL -Jackson Dean “Jack” Heather was born May 31, 1946 to Sylvia Heather in Rockford, IL. He was raised by George and Pearl Heather. Jack lived in Byron and died at UWHealth Swedish American in Rockford on January 2, 2025. Jack graduated from Oregon High school class of 1964. He loved playing football, being on the chain gang for years, and watching the “Hawks” play all his life. Often you would see him with headphones on listening to a game and standing at the fence watching another game. He married Kathy Jacobs on Oct 7,1979. He is survived by his wife Kathy Heather, sons; Chase (Summer) Carlson, JD (Jaci) Heather, and a daughter Jacqueline. He had many grandkids, but 3: Adyson, Cash, and Ashyr loved to call him Grumpa. He is also survived by 1 sister Cindy (Dennis) Pederson and 2 brothers, Jerry and Tom Early: one great granddaughter Sadie and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, and maternal grandparents; his son, Victor; grandson Jake and 3 sisters and 1 brother. 

There will be no services or Celebration of Life at this time.
