Jeffery R. Cheever

Jeffery Ross Cheever, age 64, passed away at home on January 9, 2024. He was born in Lincoln, NE on September 30, 1959 the son of Hubert 'Bert' and Juanita 'Nita' (Rasmussen) Cheever. Jeff was a proud veteran and served in the US Army. He worked for many years as a manufacturing supervisor for RR Donnelley in Monroe, WI. He married the love of his life Brenda Zessin on August 17, 1979 and together they built a beautiful life and family. He loved spending time at home maintaining the yard and relaxing in the pool. Jeff enjoyed spending time outdoors making memories camping and taking RV trips with his family and friends. He was an avid Nebraska football fan who cheered on the Huskers any chance he could.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cheri. Jeff is survived and missed by his wife, Brenda; children, Angie (Drew) Douglas-Cheever and Josh (Alisha) Cheever; grandchildren, Makayla and Kaden Cheever; brothers, Tony (Agnes) Cheever and Tim (Tammy) Cheever; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jeff and Brenda's well-lived lives will be held on April 13, 2024 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Granite City Food and Brewery, 6200 O Street, Lincoln, NE 68510.
