Jill Ilene Hornsby

Jill Ilene Hornsby, aged 88, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, passed away June 19, 2024. She was born February 21,1936, to James and Ruth Ingraham in Rochelle, IL. Jill was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to so many. Her journey took her to many places. After growing up in Oregon, IL, she moved to Jacksonville Beach, FL, to attend Jacksonville University. After living in Savannah, GA then Dixon, IL she returned to Florida in 1997, this time to her beloved Ponte Vedra Beach. She enjoyed her work as a Social Worker for Lutheran Social Services where she had a strong impact on the lives of woman.

 She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Hornsby, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, children Mark Taylor (Ruth) of Tybee Island, Ga, Chris Hornsby (Patty) of Denver Co, and Sarah Hornsby (Pedro)of Sao Paulo Brazil, and grandchildren Carson Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Madeline Hornsby, William Hornsby, Gabriel Gadelha, and Luiza Gadelha.

 Jill was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved sisters, Jackie Muhlbaier, Susan Wood, and Sandra Hawkins, and her brother Richard Ingraham.

 A Celebration of Life will be held in Ponte Vedra Beach to commemorate the impact she had on the lives of those around her.

A Graveside Service will be held at Washington Grove Cemetery in Chana, IL at a later date.
