Kim L. Stouffer, age 67, passed away at home on Saturday, September 23, 2023. She was born on September 14, 1956 in Beloit, WI the daughter of Walter and Helen (Bakke) Busky. Kim married the love of her life Duane Stouffer on May 7, 1977. They spent the last 45 years building a beautiful and fulfilling life together. Kim worked for many years as an order picker for 3M. She also worked Caron Yarn in Rochelle as well as Eswood School. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, baking, and her dogs. She loved to shop especially for antiques. Kim had a zest for life and cranking up the radio to listen to some good tunes. More than anything, Kim loved her family deeply and adored being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a force of life and made an impression with everyone she met. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Tilla Bakke. She is survived and missed by her husband, Duane of Lindenwood; children, Jacob (Colleen Hefferman) Stouffer of McHenry, Kevin Stouffer of Rockford, Tessa Stouffer of Rochelle, and Lindsey (Mike) Lancaster of Machesney Park; sisters, Lynn Busky, Sue Engstrom, and Dawn Lutgens; grandchildren, Henry Stouffer, Benjamin Stouffer, Adelaide Stouffer, Nora Lancaster, and Timothy Lancaster; nieces and nephews, Michael (Michele) Busky, Angie (Mike) Hennegan, and Devin (Jason) Stoll; and great nieces and nephews, Brendan Busky, Kaitlyn Busky, Alyssa Busky, Thomas Hennegan, Mia Hennegan, and Sydney Stoll. Per Kim’s requests no services are to be held at this time. In lieu of flowers memorials are established for Tails Human Society in Dekalb.
