Lois A. Lints

Lois Ann Lints, age 87, died Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the Serenity Hospice and Home near Oregon.  She was born July 6, 1935 in London, Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada the daughter of Gordon and Mary Joan (Morrison) Bowley.  She married Graham A. Lints on May 21, 1955 in New Windsor, Ontario.  He preceded her in 2016.  Lois had worked for Carron Spinning Company and as Secretary for the St. Mary Catholic Church in Oregon for over 20 years.  Her primary focus was her husband and 6 children.  They lived in Detroit, Michigan until 1968 when they moved to California.  In 1970 they moved to Oregon, IL.  Lois was an active member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Club.  In her later years she participated in activities through the Ogle County Senior Citizen’s Center including line dancing, playing cards and acting in the plays.  Lois also worked for Conover Book Store and Light’s Jewelry in Conover Square in Oregon.  She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Graham, sister Patricia Smith, brother Gordon Bowley.  She is survived by her 6 children:  Graeme Lints of Oregon, IL; Lynne Lints-Lovstad of West Greenwich, RI; Greg Lints of Oregon, IL; Donna (Mark) Cerny of Dekalb, IL; Gerold Lints of Mt. Morris, IL; and Beth Lints of Salem, Oregon; grandchildren: Melissa, Jessica, Jordan, Alex, Aby, and Tori; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 23, 2023 at the St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Naill officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Burial will follow at the St. Mary Cemetery.  A memorial fund is established in Lois’s name and may be directed to her family.
