Marian Aughenbaugh

Marian I. Aughenbaugh, 83, of Byron, died Saturday, May 23, 2020 in her home. Born June 15, 1936 in Amboy, the daughter of William and Minnie Eller. Married to Donald Lee Aughenbaugh August 8, 1953 in Morrison; he died July 5, 1999. Marian was a longtime area resident and waitressed at several area restaurants including Braces’ Corner in Davis Junction and Family Affair gas station and restaurant at the same location which she and her husband owned and operated for a short time. She loved reading and puzzles. Survived by her son, Donald (Polly) Aughenbaugh of Byron; daughters, Pam Oslund of Davis Junction, Donna Schuelke of Boise, Idaho, Deb Aughenbaugh of Rockford, Lori (Tim) Aurand of Loves Park and Connie (Brian) Smith of Winnebago; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Also predeceased by her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. will be held with burial in Big Mound Cemetery. Pastor Randy Snider of Cornerstone Family Church, Byron will preside. . In lieu of flowers, donations in Marian’s name may be made to Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter, Rockford.
