Marilea Alice Maas Barnett went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 25, 2024, at the age of 76.
Marilea was born in Oregon, IL on March 4, 1948, to the late Orville and Harriett Bennett Maas. She graduated from Oregon High School in 1966, then graduated from Sauk Valley College.
Marilea married the love of her life on June 23, 1968. Marilea was a Christian and attended Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Thayer, MO. She loved the Lord and the last thing she told Robert was that all that’s important is that you have Christ as you Savior. Marilea’s advice is to accept the Lord as your Savior and go to Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and brothers-in-law, Allen Gale and Joe Baker.
Marilea is survived by her husband, Robert Allen Barnett of 56 years of Pocahontas; children, Marilyn (Steven) Rawls, Bob (Judy) Barnett and Kendall (Teresa) Barnett of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Zoie Barnett, Marly and Myla Rawls, Joseph, and Emily Barnett; great-grandson, Braxton (Cowboy) Bounds; sisters, Nancy Gale, Marian Baker, Roberta (Rodger) Macauley all of Oregon, IL., Mabel (Paul) Bauers of Michigan and one brother Ivan (Val) Maas of Oregon, IL., sister-in-law, Linda Rainwater and brother-in-law, Randall (Kathy) Barnett; many other nieces, nephews, friends, loved ones and church family.
There will be a graveside service for immediate family only at Condit Cemetery near Ingram, AR. At 10:00 am Tuesday, August 27, 2024, with Melvin Snethern officiating.
