Marilyn Beauchem

Marilyn K. Beauchem, age 82, longtime Byron resident passed away on March 17, 2022 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. She was born on December 9, 1939 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of John and Kathryn Noble. She married Harry Beauchem on April 20, 1963 in Loves Park, IL; he preceded her in death on January 12, 2021. She was a member of Leaf River Baptist Church. In her later years, Marilyn enjoyed working at the Byron McDonalds. The most important thing to her was her family and she loved attending her grandchildren’s activities. Survived by her sons, David (Vicky) Beauchem of South Bend, IN and Dawayne Beauchem of Byron; daughter, Penny (Doug) Reber of Byron; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, parents, and son, Dale Beauchem. A memorial service for Harry and Marilyn will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home in Byron. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service. The family encourages you to please wear your blue jeans to the service and visitation just like Marilyn and Harry liked to wear. Burial will follow at Daysville Cemetery in Oregon. Memorials are established for the Byron Booster Club.
