Mary L. Fisher

Mary L. Fisher, age 85, died Friday, March 24, 2023 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. She was born in Wadena, IA on January 31, 1938 the daughter of Howard and Marie (Brackin) Thomas. She graduated from Oregon High School Class of 1956. After graduation; she worked at Del Monte Foods until 1977 when she became a full time homemaker. She married the love of her life Roger Fisher on August 6, 1966 in Oregon. She enjoyed almost 49 wonderful years by his side until he preceded her in death on July 13, 2015. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the May Flower Historical Society, and Daughter of the American Revolution. In her spare time, she could be found relaxing at home watching her soaps on tv. Her family was her life and she was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived and missed by her daughter, Arminde (Randy) McClung of Rockford; siblings, Vicki Hunt of Franklin Grove, Duke (Mindy) Thomas of Chana, and Garth (Pat) Thomas of Grand DeTour; grandchildren, Walter McClung and Nina McClung; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Wayne Thomas, Robert Thomas, and Nancy Greenfield. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home in Oregon. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rochelle with Pastor Franky Lay officiating. Memorials are established in her name.
