Michael Keeton

Michael G. Keeton was born March 26, 1954 to Marvin and Merdis Lunsford Keeton in Rockford, IL.  He was in the Rockford East High School Class of 1972, proudly served four years in the U.S. Army and spent most of his working life in retail sales.  He became a father to his son Michael E. Keeton on January 8, 1982.  Reconnecting following a 28 year gap, he married the former Karen Myers on May 30, 1998.  At the time of his passing on October 17, 2021, he is survived by wife, Karen, son Michael (Aly Augustyn), bonus daughter Miranda (Jason) Kenyon, bonus sons Adam (Blake) Kunkle and Daniel (Dana) Kunkle, grandchildren Garrett Keeton, Tyler & Hayley Kenyon, and Milana & Archer Kunkle, sister Gail Hill and brother Jimmy Keeton, beloved pets Zoe & Gus.  He was predeceased by his parents, step father Ed Killion, sisters Carolyn & Glenda.  Mike took great joy in his role as Papa to his grandchildren, loved driving a little too fast in his Mustang Convertible and was passionate about the country he fought for.  Visitation will be Friday, October 22 from 5-7 p.m. at Farrell Holland Gale in Stillman Valley, IL.  Graveside service will be on Saturday, October 23 at 11 a.m. at the Stillman Valley Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Johnson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Darkhorse Lodge, Springville, TN.
