Nancy Nutt

Oregon – Nancy Ann Nutt, age 74, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Serenity Hospice and Home near Oregon.  She was born March 15, 1948 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Henry and Marian (Beard) Nutt.  She graduated from Forreston High School in 1967.  She worked for the Village of Progress in Oregon for many years.   Nancy was very active in the First Baptist Church in Oregon where she helped with many of the history projects at the church.  Nancy loved Bingo her cat and doing word search puzzles.  She loved to color, do scrap booking, basket weaving with her sister Vera, but most of all socializing with her friends at the Countryside Apartments and with her family at the family reunions.  She was predeceased by her parents, an infant sister Doris Belle Nutt, and sister Vera Noffsinger.  She is survived by many cousins and friends.  Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Oregon with the Pastor David Snow and Pastor Jared Cochran Co-officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am.  Burial will be at 2:00 pm at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.  A memorial fund is established for the First Baptist Church in Oregon or the Village of Progress in Oregon.  Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon assisted the family with services.
