Priscilla "Pat" A. Kruger

Priscilla A. Kruger (Pat), age 89 passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. She was born December 1, 1933 in Monroe Center, Illinois to Kenneth and Florence Hildebrand. She graduated from Monroe Center High School in 1951. She married Wilbur (Skip) Kruger on August 26, 1951 in Monroe Center.  Pat’s employment history consisted of secretary at Sundstrand Aviation for 5 years, Monroe Center Grade School for 2 years and AG Communication Systems for 23 years, retiring in 2000. Following retirement, she was church secretary for Monroe Center Community Church for 5 years.  She was an avid Stillman Valley High School Cardinal backer for all sports and attended as many sporting events as possible in which her children and grandchildren participated. She also enjoyed bowling for many years. She was a Green Bay Packer fan as well.  Pat loved her family and often had her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at her home for delicious holiday dinners. She also loved to knit and crochet. She was also a member of the Red Hats for several years.  Pat was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur (Skip) in 2003, her father Kenneth Hildebrand in 1954, her mother Florence VanStone (Hildebrand) in 2004, great grandson Maddox in 2016, brothers Irvin, Charles and Douglas, sisters Eleanor VanStone, Linda Barber and Sharon Barber.  She is survived by her 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her children which include: her son Dean (Carol) Kruger and his children Dustin (Laura) Kruger, Kelli (Randy) Blank, Alexis (Josh) Kruger and grandchildren Brody and Carter Kruger and Boone Heller; her daughter Judy (Marty) Larson and their children David (Rachel) Larson and Jeffrey (Joanna) Larson and grandchildren Brett, Luke, Jake, Janae, Jaryn and Easton Larson;  her son Mike (Lori) Kruger and his children Thomas “TJ” (Haley), Clay and Quin Kruger and grandchildren David and Delilah Kruger; her daughter Deb Thibodeau and her children Jason, Justin (Andrea) and Jordan (Jordan) Thibodeau and Jaime (Derek) Jarvis and grandchildren Harper, Levi, Charlotte and Reese Thibodeau and Noah and Taytum Jarvis and special step grandchildren Bryce and Jadyn Edwards; her son Brian Kruger and his children Kyle, Claire, Carson and Chase Kruger, and her sister Avis Hall of Stillman Valley, IL.  Visitation to be held from 4-7 pm, on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Farrell- Holland-Gale Funeral Home 136 West Roosevelt Road in Stillman Valley, Illinois.  Funeral Service to be held 10:00 AM, Thursday at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home with the Pastor Bob Mellon of the Monroe Center Community Church officiating.  Burial will immediately follow in Monroe Center Cemetery, 402 North St. Monroe Center, Illinois. The family sends many thanks to Cindy and her staff at Liberty Village of Rochelle, her nurse Rose and the staff at Manor Court in Rochelle and Serenity Hospice of Oregon for being so special to her life in the end. Memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice and Home of Oregon.
