Rebecca "Becky" Ann Bolthouse

Oregon, IL – Rebecca Ann “Becky” Bolthouse, age 77, died Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 15, 1947 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Daniel J. and Margaret K. (Emmerich) Reimer. She graduated from Oregon High School in 1965. Becky married Gary H. Bolthouse on April 12, 1969 in Oregon. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 2022. Becky previously worked for J.D. Kings in Kings, IL, Cook Manufacturing in Oregon, IL and also worked at the Recorder’s Office at the Ogle County Court House for many years. She was an active member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oregon, IL and the Catholic Daughters, and often volunteered at the church. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was known as a good conversationalist. She especially loved being with her grandchildren. She liked to watch them in many activities including football, baseball, dance, tumbling, and barrel racing. She was often heard cheering at the at the wrong times, which often made people laughed. When she was younger, Becky helped her dad on the farm, milking cows and breaking horses. They often were spotted at a local hitching post. She and Gary loved dinning out and traveled to Mexico for vacation over the past 30 years. Becky was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Margaret Reimer, husband Gary Bolthouse, infant daughter Katie Bolthouse, and brother Andy Reimer. She is survived by her 2 daughters: Darcie (James) Bettner and their children Trenten, Danyelle, and Molley of Oregon, IL; Maggie (Tom) Stalzer and their children Luke and Ella of Haverhill, Iowa; brother Dan (Grace) Reimer, Jr of Oregon, IL; special friends John and Julie Stafford, Tom and Susie Miatke, and Larry and Susana Holland; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7th Street in Oregon, IL with Rev. Bernie Sehr of St. Mary Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at the funeral home from noon to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
