Reberta L. McCullough, age 90, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025 at Allure of Pinecrest in Mt. Morris, IL. She was born August 5, 1934 in rural Stillman Valley, the daughter of Henry Robert and Beula (Anderson) Knight. She attended Mouth of Stillman Grade School and then graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1952. Reberta married Clarence E. McCullough on April 28, 1990 in Davis, IL. They moved to the farm on Armour Road near Stillman Valley where they lived for over 30 years. She was a member of the United Church of Byron. Reberta worked 35 years for Sundstrand in Rockford, IL in the mail and blueprint departments. She also worked 2 years for Woolworths, 3 years for Rockford Sexual Assault Counsel, and 11 years for the Rockford Auxiliary Police. She loved sewing, farming, gardening, canning, baking, and cake decorating. She was a collector of Farmall Tractors and especially enjoyed driving her Farmall B tractor. Reberta had a love for her Rottweiler dogs Blaze, Dakota, and Roxy. Most of all, Roberta loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her parents H. Robert and Beula Knight, her brother Robert E. Knight, and daughter-in-law Cathy Musselman. Reberta is survived by her husband Clarence, son Ronald Musselman of Durand, IL and his daughters Maggie Hutson, Monica Balentyne, Michelle Schwagel, and Morgan DeGarmo. Reberta is also survived by her daughter Rita Monger of Rockford, IL and her children Jim Murawski and Sue Hammonds. Also survived by her stepchildren: Jeannie (Jack) Revell of Davis, IL; Jerry McCullough of Rockford, IL; Joyce (Geoff) Gregg of Rockford; and Jeff (Kim) McCullough of Rockford, IL; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The family would especially like to thank granddaughter Maggie for her extra care she provided over the last 5 years. There are no services planned per Reberta’s wishes.
