Richard A. Wakenight

Oregon, IL – Richard A. Wakenight, age 83, died Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Generations at Neighbors in Byron, IL.  He was born November 30, 1939 in Oregon, Il the son of LeRoy and Ruby (Messenger) Wakenight.  Rich worked several years for John Deere and Company and also for the Oregon Country Club and a Country Club in Texas.  He loved to play golf and ride is motorcycle.  Rich was predeceased by his parents and brothers James and Gregory Wakenight.  He is survived by his siblings Randy (Deb) Wakenight of Titusville, Florida, Roger (Norma) Wakenight of Polo, IL, Doris (Clyde) Payne of Oregon, IL and many nieces and nephews.  Private burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery near Polo, IL.
