Robert J. Leddy Jr., 75, died at Swedish American Hospital of Rockford, IL on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. He was born on March 13, 1949, the son of Robert J. Sr. & Mary K. (Suski) Leddy in Oregon, IL. Robert graduated from Oregon school district and went on to get his associate’s degree. He worked for many years at E.D. Etnyre & Co. Manufacturing before his retirement in 2018. Robert married the love of his life, Juaw Ritnaka on October 5, 1973; and they enjoyed 55 wonderful years together. Throughout his life he enjoyed many simple things life working on cars, being a handyman, bowling, and playing tennis. His favorite past time however was fishing. He was a family man through and through, always making sure to spend time with his family and be there for them.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived and missed dearly by his loving wife of 55 years Jauw Leddy; children Robert Leddy III, John Leddy Sr., Kathleen (Robert) Mosley; grandchildren John Leddy Jr., Spencer Leddy, Jorden Leddy, Zachary Mosley, Shane Mosley; great-grandchildren Athena, Abel, Selena, Axel, Lily; brother Ken Leddy; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial services in Robert’s honor have been scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 5:00 pm at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home of Oregon, IL, with Reverend Molly Bowen presiding. A visitation will be held just prior between the hours of 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home of Oregon, IL. Memorials are established in his name and may be directed to the family.
