Ruth M. Hill

Ruth M. Hill, age 83, joined our Lord in heaven on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025 at 10:45 pm. She left us peacefully after a short third bout with cancer, surrounded by her husband of 64 years Dallas Hill of Oregon, IL and Mission Texas. She was born June 4, 1941 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Herman and Marie (Hansen) Tiemann. Ruth graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1959. She married Dallas Hill on Oct. 1, 1960 in Joliet, IL. Ruth and Dallas enjoyed traveling throughout the country and abroad. Ruth’s favorite place to go was Hawaii. She loved to read, do crafts, and jigsaw puzzles. She is predeceased by her parents Herman and Marie Tiemann, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 nephew. She is survived by her loving husband Dallas; her children Deborah (Ken) Kramer of Byron, IL and Peter (Nancy) Hill of Sun Prairie, WI. Ruth took great joy in spending time with her children and her grandchildren: Holly (Chris) Bardon, Katie Kramer, Jacob Hill, Joshua Hill and Brenden Thomsen; as well as her 3 great grandchildren Dallas J., Riley, and Austin Bardon. A private service will be held at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon, IL. A memorial fund is established in Ruth’s name and may be directed to her family.
