Sandra Lee Noser (Myers) - lovingly known as Sandy - passed away at her home on July 20th, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 83 years old. Sandy was born on December 30th, 1940, in Oregon, Illinois, to Lawrence Myers and Lavina Mongan. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1959 and went on to build a fulfilling career at Kable News, where she worked in various roles first in Mt. Morris and then in Marion, Ohio. She married Richard “Dick” Noser on July 31, 1971, in Mt. Morris, IL. Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother known as “Gigi”, and beloved friend. She is survived by her husband Dick; her children, Brenda Noser and Mike Lecuyer, Julie and Dick Watson, Barb Seibold, and Dan and Donna Derby; her grandchildren, Jay (Jessie) Watson, Bryan Watson, Justin (Laura) Murdock, Adam (Justine) Derby, Lauren Hill, and Faith (Sean) McNamee; and her 13 great-grandchildren: Everly, Miles W., Charlie, Dylan, Miles M., Chance, Justine, Adalyn, Landon, Parker, Breelyn, Benjamin, and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Myers and Lavina Mongan; her in-laws, Haven and Margaret Noser; and her brothers-in-law, Ken, Lee, and Don Guenzler. Sandy was a dedicated volunteer, offering her time and energy to Mt. Morris Loaves & Fish, Serenity Hospice and Home, and Ogle County Relay for Life. She had a passion for puzzles, bike rides with Dick in Florida, and kept various collections including Christmas Santas and angels. Above all, Sandy cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She took great joy in watching her grandchildren's sporting events and, in her later years, going on weekend adventures and being part of her great-grandchildren's milestones. Sandy also enjoyed lunches with her various friend groups and participated in reunion committee activities. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at River’s Edge Experience on August 10th, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Serenity Hospice and Home. Sandy's warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
