Shirley LeFevre

Shirley Ann LeFevre, age 86, died Friday, July 1, 2022 at Pinecrest Terrace in Mt. Morris, IL.  She was born July 10, 1935 in Maryland Station, IL the daughter of Vincent and Helen (Hilmer) Miller.  Shirley graduated from Polo High School in 1953.  Shirley married Eldon L. LeFevre on June 19, 1959 at the Presbyterian Church in Polo, IL.  She previously worked for Watt Publishing in Mt. Morris and Progressive Graphics in Oregon for 19 years.  Shirley loved spending time with her family, but especially her grandchildren.  She was known as a person who was always giving to others selflessly.  She loved tending to her flowers.  Shirley was predeceased by her parents.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years Eldon LeFevre of Oregon, son Michael LeFevre of Mt. Morris, IL, Lisa (Jerry) “Her favorite son-in-law” Baker of Mt. Morris, IL, 2 granddaughters Shannon LeFevre (Jaryn Rudy) of Mt. Morris, IL and Abigail Baker of Mt. Morris, IL, and 3 great grandchildren Cameron, Chase, and Kaden Rudy.  Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 7th Street in Oregon, IL with the Rev. Rodney Caldwell officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.  A memorial fund is established in Shirley’s name for the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL or the Pinecrest Terrace in Mt. Morris, IL.
