Steven G. Bettner

Steven G. Bettner, 54, lifelong Oregon resident, died Thursday, December 3, 2020 in Serenity Hospice Home, Oregon. Born November 11, 1966 in Rockford, the son of Gary and Kathleen (Peterson) Bettner. Steve was a 1985 graduate of Oregon High School and worked many years at Wood Bros. in Oregon and then with the Village of Progress cleaning service. Stevie loved hunting, eating at local restaurants and telling a corny joke. Survived by his brother, James (Darcie) Bettner of Oregon; sisters, Lisa (Troy) Hollaway of Georgia and Sharon (fiancé Robert Crabtree) Schroder of Oregon; nephews and nieces: Kyle, Seth, Austin, Trenten, Danyelle and Molley; and aunts and uncles. Predeceased by his parents, Gary Bettner and Kathleen Bettner Politsch. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private graveside services will be held at Daysville Cemetery, Oregon with Pastor John Guthrie of East Oregon Church of God officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Steve’s name may be made to Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon or Granny Rose Animal Shelter, Dixon.
