Terri A. Hardt, age 65, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago on February 4, 1958 the daughter of Anthony and Kathleen (Giovacchini) Sciaccotta. She married the love of her life, Donald Hardt, on April 11, 1975. Terri had a personality that left a mark on those she knew. She was incredibly funny and loved to crack a joke and make people laugh. She was outgoing and outspoken; never being afraid to say whatever she thought with no filter. Terri was a strong woman with a high pain tolerance which helped keep her fighting. She lived every day to the fullest. In her spare time; she enjoyed shopping and always had packages getting delivered to the house. She was a great cook and baker; always making more than was needed especially of her lasagna and spaghetti sauce. She loved spending time with her family and her dog, Zoey. But, more than anything Terri was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always calling and checking in so she could stay involved in their lives. She is survived and missed by her husband of nearly 48 years, Donald Sr. of Davis Junction; parents, Kathleen Paradis of Lake Carroll, and Anthony Sciaccotta of Vero Beach, FL; children, Donald Jr. (Kelly) Hardt of Genoa, Stephanie Rigard of Cortland, Robert Hardt of Davis Junction, and Daniel (Jennifer) Hardt of Belvidere; sisters, Dawn (Vic) Menendez of South Elgin, Kathleen Sciaccotta of Vero Beach, FL, and Tami (Mike) Marcanio of Elgin; grandchildren, Alexis, Donald III, Emeryss, Liliana, Desiree, Myranda, Baylie, Aubrie, Robert Jr., Alyssa, Madelyn, Gavin, Mya, and Marie; 4 great grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her in-laws, David and Carol Hardt and niece, Kelly Williams. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday February 11, 2023 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd in Stillman Valley with Pastor Randy Snider officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service. Following the service there will be a gathering and luncheon at the family home.
