Victor F. "Jake" Heather

Mt. Morris, IL – Victor F. “Jake” Heather, age 21, died suddenly on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.  He was born October 23, 2001 in Dixon, IL the son to Melissa Alaniz and Vic Heather.  He attended Oregon Schools.  Jake previously worked at the White Pines Ranch where he enjoyed attending to the horses.  He loved playing the game Fortnite with his brother Michael.  Jake loved to go fishing.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Clyde Young and Judy Jaeger, along with his dog Reno.  He is survived by his mother Melissa Alaniz of Mt. Morris; father Victor Heather of Oregon; siblings: Tasha (Buddy) Jenkins of Oregon; Michael (Bethany) Ramsey of Everett Washington; and Sharon (Kyle) Ruter of Mt. Morris; his Mammo Joanne Young; 3 nieces: Reiannah, Aubrey, and Sadie Mae; nephew Liam who is his “Towmator”; and numerous cousins and uncles.  A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 South 7^th Street in Oregon, IL.  A memorial fund is established in Victor Heather’s name and may be directed to his family.
